I'd appreciate some help with this, because I'm concerned my CPU isn't working at the correct speeds. (I'm not sure what this means If I'm being honest) Has anyone got an idea? I've used CPU-Z and I get the same result 798Mhz, admittedly if I right click on it it lists: I've attempted to fix this by doing as Techie007 said, I've tried updating the BIOS, disabling C States, disabling the Intel Speedstep etc all to no avail. It's my first post here, and I apologise for bumping this thread, however I'm having the exact same issue as RauliePolie. Why did my CPU Frequency fail? Is it a setting I must have turned off or does it tie to the Turbo Boost Technology?Īnd while I can kill two birds with one stone, is there a way to install Turbo Boost or where would it be in BIOS? It came to my attention though that when I ran the Intel Processor Diagnostic Tool that my CPU Frequency failed for some reason, not matching up to the 2.20 GHz minimum the processor has. I looked at some other forums and noticed it might be a manufacturer issue so I will deal with that on the side. After convincing myself that I just needed a stronger PC in general, I designed builds that would drain my bank account surely never good news to anyone.īut last night I took a look at the recommended settings on Elgato's website and my laptop is EXTREMELY well over qualified to use it! So after researching Intel's website about my processor (i7-2670QM), I noticed it can use Intel Turbo Boost Technology to go up to 3.10GHz, but after checking my BIOS, no setting like that turns up. ![]() I've had this laptop I purchased in mid-2012 and it's been perfect for gaming and daily use, but I recently attempted to stream console gaming with an Elgato Game Capture HD and kept getting skipped frames no matter what I changed. ![]() Hello! This my first thread on this site due to the fact that I can't find anything to help me on the entire internet. ![]()
